Volunteer Release
and Indemnity Agreement
Your participation in a HI-USA Gateway Council event is based on your acknowledgement of and agreement to the following conditions. Please read this carefully:
In consideration of your accepting me as a volunteer, on my own behalf and behalf of my heirs, personal representatives and assignees, I hereby release HI-USA Gateway Council and other employees, volunteers, officers, directors, and sponsors from claims, demands, and actions or rights of action or other legal rights to claim compensation for any loss or injury which occurs while volunteering, going to, or coming from such an activity. I agree to indemnify and hold all parties released by this document harmless from such claims and demands. I expressly agree that this release and indemnity agreement is intended to be as broad and inclusive as permitted by the laws of the state of Missouri and of any other state wherein such activities may occur, and that if any portion hereof is held invalid, the remainder hereof shall continue in full force and effect. I agree to accept the decision of any supervisor concerning my ability to safely participate as a volunteer. I grant to HI-USA Gateway Council and HI-USA Gateway Council sponsors and licensees the exclusive right to the free use of my name, my voice and/or my picture in any broadcast, telecast, advertising, promotion or other account of this event for legitimate purposes.
