THE RECREATIONAL RIDE SERIES: HI-USA, GATEWAY COUNCIL will sponsor five recreational rides beginning in May and ending in September. In addition, there will be a make-up recreational ride held in October still to be determined. If you complete all five rides you will be awarded a series commemorative T-shirt for your achievement. Plan now to complete the series. Challenge yourself, your family, and your friends!

COST: Each ride costs $15 for HI-USA members, $20 for non-members, and $10 for children (see Tour de Stooges for different pricing).

BUY FIVE, GET ONE FREE! Pre-purchase the entire five-ride series and receive a ticket to the make-up recreational ride FREE!

REGISTRATION: E-commerce pre-registrations can be made BY CLICKING HERE until noon the Wednesday before each scheduled ride.

Sign-in is 8:30 - 11 a.m. for all rec. rides.

Online PRE-registrants will receive a FREE ride T-shirt!

All rec. rides include marked roads, maps/cue sheets, SAG support, and rest stops with snacks.

Helmets are mandatory, and all rides go rain or shine.

A new home for Tour De Stooges, but the same wonderful ride. Choose from routes of 15, 22, 31, 42, and 64 miles. Along with lunch you may watch all the slapstick comedy you can stand. This is the 11th year for the Tour De Stooges. It draws about 700 cyclists from 14 states.

Cost: $30 for adults, $20 for children (includes lunch & ride T-shirt).

Join us on a tribute to the Beatles on this 1960s themed ride! Listen to the Beatles Music from the Boombox at Eckert’s. Pedal over flat country roads with a few small hills. Chose a route: Strawberry Fields Forever (14 miles), The Yellow Submarine (22 miles), or Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band (41 miles). Coupon to each rider for a free small custard cone, Prizes to the best '60s costumes and decorated bikes. Don’t forget to purchase strawberries and other spring produce at the Country Store after the ride. Nostalgia, exercise, and fun all rolled into one!

1950s-themed ride from Route 66 State Park. Choose from four routes: the family-friendly route, Tutti Frutti (6 miles), Jailhouse Rock (22 miles), Rock Around The Clock (31 miles), or the “challenge” route with serious climbs for experienced riders only, Great Balls Of Fire (38 miles). Rest your wazoo at one of our rest stops and listen to the sounds of Bill Haley, Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, Chuck Berry, the Big Bopper and others. Prizes for best ‘50s-style threads and peepers worn during your ride. A special prize will be given to the first cyclist to complete the Rock Around The Clock route on the classic cruiser, the Schwinn Phantom. Enjoy this trip back in time, but don’t let us catch you playing some back seat bingo in the parking lot or we just might have to call the heat, Daddy-O! Camp Mihaska Bike Ride & Canoe Float

Relive your childhood days at camp without the bullies and “short sheets”! The bike routes are 15 or 30 miles and include rolling hills, small towns, and scenic farmland. For an additional fee, stay overnight and bike again on Sunday ($20 to camp in your own tent, $40 to sleep in dormitory-style beds - linens included)! These prices include wagon ride, campfire with s’mores, dinner on Saturday night, and breakfast Sunday morning! Just added! Canoe the pristine upper reaches of the Meramec River Sunday morning! Canoes, life vests, and expert guidance offered for $5 for non-members, free for members.
